A tall,slim South Lincolnshire George III oak and mahogany longcase clock with 8-day movement striking the hours on a bell. The attractive painted 12in arched dial has roses,blue flowers and fruits with roses in the corner spandrels. The dial has subsidiary seconds dial and calendar dial. The case is of good proportions with long arched, trunk door and panelled base, both with attractive shell inlays, the clock standing on bracket feet. The arched mahogany hood has turned pillars with brass Corinthian Capitols and swan neck pediments. The good 8-day movement has been cleaned and overhauled and is in good working order.
