Circa 1800

A good quality George 111 flame mahogany, Lancashire longcase clock with 8-day movement, subsidiary seconds and calendar dials striking the hours on a bell. The 14 inch square painted dial,with some age cracks to the white paintwork has well-painted, colourful rose sprays in the center and  baskets containing peaches and grapes in the corner spandrels. The hood has swan neck pediments with a central brass finial and turned brass capped columns either side of the hood. The shaped well figured long  trunk door is attractively inlaid with boxwood stringing and tulip inlays each side of the trunk .The 8 day movement has been cleaned,bushed, polished and overhauled and is in good working order.
