A good Doncaster,Georgian oak and mahogany longcase clock, with 8-day movement, striking the hours on a bell.
The arched 13in enamelled dial has subsidiary seconds and calendar dials. The well painted dial shows a lady in a garden scene in the arch and gilded fans in the corners. The oak and mahogany case, cross-banded with mahogany, has a long shaped trunk door, with oval shaped inlays of urns and flowers both in the door and panelled base. The panelled base has fan inlays in the corners and is set on bracket feet. The mahogany hood has turned tapered pillars and swan neck pediments surmounted by three brass finials.


The 8-day movement has been cleaned,bushed and polished and is in good working order.
