Lisieux, Normandy –Circa 1860

A French, Normandy, Comtoise longcase clock, with 8-day

movement in a typical country French  pine case with painted flower decorations-mainly roses.

The porcelain dial with makers name in the centre has a beautiful stamped brass dial surround and large lyre pendulum The Morez 8-day movement strikes the hour, waits a minute, then re-strikes the hour on a gong  and also strikes on the half hour.

The 8-day movement has been cleaned, polished and overhauled and is in good working order.
