1830. A small,slim, oak and mahogany longcase clock, with 8-day movement, striking the hours on a bell. The attractive painted arched dial has subsidiary seconds and calendar dials. The arch painting shows a hot air balloon with flowers and pagodas in the corner spandrels. The shaped trunk door and base are cross-banded with mahogany and strung with boxwood with a mahogany panel above the trunk door and canted sides to the trunk. The arched hood has brass capped reeded pillars and swan neck pediments surmounted by three brass finials. The 8-day movement has been bushed, cleaned and overhauled and is in good working order.
